Q 1: A 2 year old baby with anemia and low MCV was investigated. The HPLC data of the baby is given.
Her 28 year old mother was asymptomatic and mildly anemic. She was asymptomatic but had low MCV. Her HPLC and Hb Electrophoresis is presented. Both the mother and baby were sickling negative
The father could not be investigated since he was abroad.
